GitLab is coming to Reston, VA on Monday, June 10, for a hands-on training covering all of the essential security capabilities of GitLab and tailored to the Federal Systems Integrator community.
This course will offer live instruction on critical security techniques, including Static Application Security Testing, secret detection, Dynamic Application Security Testing, dependency scanning, container scanning, license compliance and fuzz testing.
By attending, technical teams will receive the skills and knowledge required to pass GitLab's Certified Security Specialist Exam and perform the following tasks:
- Describe the security features available in GitLab
- Determine team members that should give merge request security approvals
- Enable and configure scanning tool, including enabling and disabling options
- Enable and configure merge request security approvals
- View and utilize the Security Dashboard for a given group and project
- Download scanning results as evidence for compliance
- Configure defensive mechanisms, test performance and inspect logs
