In the annual tradition of predictions, we've already looked ahead to 2016 trends, but we also want to take a moment to look back at the year that was. As we've reported, 2015 turned out to be a great year for the federal events industry with government budgets and restrictions around training and travel loosening.

- 3,197 - Total number of events posted on GovEvents in 2015. This shows a healthy and consistent stream of training and networking opportunities for federal, state and local government and industry professionals.
- 2,466- Number of in-person events posted on GovEvents in 2015.
- 728 - Number of webcasts posted in 2015. While the web continues to grow as a learning and training medium, in-person events still dominate the event landscape.
- 1,420 - Free events posted on GovEvents. Even with loosening budgets, many high-quality events remain free for government and military participants to encourage participation and collaboration.
- 366 - On-demand events available. Our 'anytime anywhere' culture has encompassed the event market as well, giving attendees the opportunity to download pre-recorded talks, demos, and discussions. Some of these on-demand events are recorded from live events and re-purposed for a longer shelf life as an online download.
- 757 - Number of different organizers that posted events in 2015. It's a diverse market of event planners from government agencies, to technology vendors, to non-profit associations, to professional event companies giving every attendee the experience they need to advance their career.
