my2012Tampa and my2012Charlotte Will Connect Convention Goers Allowing Them to Swap Tickets, Explore Host Cities and Socially Connect on the Fly
WASHINGTON (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Bloomberg Government and Event Farm today announced they have joined forces to launch my2012Tampa and my2012Charlotte mobile applications which will transform how invitations to private events at the 2012 Republican and Democratic National Conventions are distributed and traded.
The my2012Tampa and my2012Charlotte apps will simplify event ticketing at the conventions for both attendees and event producers. Attendees can manage, distribute and trade tickets from their smartphones in real-time and event producers will be able to allocate invitations and manage event ticketing electronically.
The apps will be available the last week of July 2012 for iPhones, iPads, Android and BlackBerry devices from the iTunes, Android and BlackBerry App stores and will also provide a master events calendar for the conventions and include convention news and analysis from Bloomberg Government.
The apps integrate Yelp content for users to explore host cities and sync with social networking platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to allow attendees to find out what events friends are attending and when friends and colleagues have arrived at events.
Event producers will be given free licenses to Event Farm's guest-registration software system to manage ticketing and invitations as well as serve as a mobile will call system at their events. The software will streamline the ticketing and check-in process by providing a real-time view of event attendance for producers. Event producers can go to www.my2012conventions.com to learn more and to sign up.
"There are hundreds of individual events unofficially associated with the conventions and our software gives event producers a common, easy-to-use platform that can be customized and branded while providing event attendees the ability to manage their convention event experience on their smartphones," said Ryan Costello, co-founder and CEO of Event Farm. "This is a simple, smart and creative way to connect events in one application while allowing each event to be distinctly unique." Read More >>
