GovEvents feed gives view of federal market events for FederalNewsRadio.com's 400,000+ monthly users
GovEvents.com, the web portal for all government and military-related events worldwide, announced today that the company will power the events section for FederalNewsradio.com. In addition to getting the latest federal news, Federal News Radio listeners now have access to federally-focused conferences and events happening in the DC-metro area.

The military has a long history of functioning as a technology petri dish, where nascent concepts are proven and then go on to mainstream success in the private marketplace. The "next big thing" in renewable energy could very well be featured, discussed or hatched at the Defense Renewable Energy and Military Microgrids gathering.

Defense Department officials have called off large annual contracting-focused conference just weeks before it was set to begin.
The invitation-only DoD Procurement Conference and Training Symposium was to have taken place in Orlando, Fla. Between May 21 and May 24. A notice posted on a department website said officials had decided they needed more time to better align the training programs with DoD acquisition policy. It wasn't immediately clear whether recent backlash against agency-sponsored conferences in the wake of the General Services Administration scandal played a role in the decision. Read More >>
