About this event

The State of Tennessee has been recognized in recent years for its use of data to drive decision-making and delivering services more effectively to its residents. To keep up the progress, the state’s Strategic Technology Solutions (STS) division of the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, has expanded its focus to include several large legacy modernization projects, such as the overhaul of its unemployment insurance system.

Another focus is business process automation, including exploring the use of artificial intelligence (AI), while creating policies to guard against any prospective risks. The division already is integrating bots into its enterprise resource planning system.

Join us as thought leaders from government and industry outline the progress Tennessee agencies have made toward implementing digital government, improving services to its residents, and incorporating emerging technologies.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify projects and programs under way to modernize and digitize agencies’ operations
  • Review the metrics being used to measure success, from speed of delivery of services to cost savings realized to greater employee productivity
  • Define how the STS is applying lessons learned to ongoing projects and what it considers best practices
