EO 13650 Preliminary Executive Order Update - Telephone Conference Afternoon Session
Please join us for the first Improving Chemical Facility Safety and Security (Executive Order 13650 (DO)) listening session. We will share an overview of the various sections of the EO and the progress made to date on each. Attendes will have an opportunity to ask questions on the progress of the EO as well as provide individual input on the process and the specific areas in the EO. These areas include improving operational coordination with States, Tribes, and local partners; enhanced infromation collection and sharing; modernizing regulations, guidance, and policies; and identifying best practices in chemical facility safety and security.
After an introduction and progress update from the tri-chairs the remainder of the meeting will be reserved for open discussion. As time is limited, the Working Group is requesting that your oral comments be limited to five minutes or less. You can submit wirtten comments to EO.chemical@hq.dhs.gov.
This session is open to stakeholders representing:
- Labor organizations representing affected workers;
- Environmental and community groups;
- Consensus standards organizations;
- Federal, Tribal, State, and local regulators; and
- First responders.
