In furtherance of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) ongoing outreach and partnership through the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s Faith-Based Advisory Committee and the Security Community Network, DHS’ Office of Infrastructure Protection is coordinating a Tabletop Exercise with senior leaders in the American Jewish community,

This program will provide a unique and engaging opportunity for key members of DHS and the American Jewish community to discuss and refine security plans, policies, and best practices in order to enhance information sharing amidst a dynamic and evolving threat environment.

This exercise will bring together senior leaders from umbrella organizations within the American Jewish community to discuss coordination and response to a nationwide attack on its constituents.

The exercise's objectives are:

  • Develop improved, multi-directional information-sharing capabilities and processes among public and private sectors at the facility, community, and sector levels;
  • Promote both the development of collaborative processes among sector-specific experts, and the use of integrated resources;
  • Discuss how the American Jewish community and law enforcement would conduct outreach efforts regarding the sharing of threat information; and
  • Identify existing vulnerabilities and support an after-action process to mitigate risk and increase community resilience, including unity of message and community steps following an attack.
