How to Overcome Institutional Barriers to a Reuse Project
With increased pressure on water supplies, many communities are exploring new strategies, such as potable reuse, to meet future water demands. As to potable reuse, however, countless barriers must be overcome to successfully initiate and execute a project. The obstacles include but aren’t limited to collaboration between separate utilities or distinct departments, public perception, treatment and technology options, finances, and regulatory issues. This webinar provides an overview of the current barriers that confront potable reuse projects as well as case studies highlighting how utilities have successfully overcome the barriers.
This webinar will help the viewer to identify or predict potential challenges to implementing potable reuse or other total water solutions projects and offer “boots-on-the-ground” strategies for overcoming the hurdles.
