AFCEA Bethesda Chapter Breakfast Series: Using Social Tools and Open Government to Transform Citizen Engagement

The Federal government invests $70 billion per year in information technology. This might seem like a sizeable amount to go around; however, government agencies are constantly challenged to do more with less, and they are learning ways to be nimble and deliver additional services with fewer resources. The Administration’s Open Government Directive signaled the reemergence of IT innovation and the Web as a platform for collaboration and citizen participation.

Innovation is the heart of Government 2.0 and it's happening all around us. Every day new technologies, best practices, and thought leaders emerge in the marketplace. How has the current Administration harnessed these innovations to decrease waste and increase productivity?

Please join AFCEA Bethesda for one of its biggest breakfasts of the year drawing between 225-300 senior executive officers and IT professionals from across industry to explore transformative and disruptive technologies to meet agency missions and deliver better services to citizens.
