Critical Infrastructure Security Summit
As a recent executive order by President Biden states, “The United States faces persistent and increasingly sophisticated malicious cyber campaigns that threaten the public sector, the private sector, and ultimately the American people’s security and privacy”. The 2021 Critical Infrastructure Summit will bring together experts from the Government, Private Sector, and Academia to discuss defending and creating resilient systems to protect our nation’s vital infrastructure from outside threats and other dangers.
The interconnectivity and advanced capabilities that digital systems have provided to our nation’s infrastructure systems also poses an avenue of approach for America’s enemies to cripple US production and economic power without having to fire a shot. To effectively protect US infrastructure and maintain our way of life the Government, Private Sector, and Academia need to work together and create resilient and hardened systems capable of withstanding threats from outside attacks and insider threats. The critical infrastructure that keeps our nation’s economy and military running are more interconnected and vulnerable than ever and there is a pressing need for the Nation to get out in front of our adversaries in cyber space.
DSI’s Critical Infrastructure Security Summit will provide a forum to discuss the latest developments in actions and measures taken to secure the nation’s infrastructure. This year’s Symposium will foster conversation between relevant stakeholders from the community to discuss how to meet and overcome evolving threats and attacks across our nation and ensure continued US freedoms and resilience across the critical infrastructure sectors.
