2012 Honolulu Convention Program
The program is subject to change as the planning process continues but the convention dates (June 19 – 24) will not change.
Attire: Aloha casual (khakis and a Hawaiian or polo style shirt) for all events with the exception of the American Patriot Dinner, which is Business suit or black tie optional.

Sylvester Puccio, USS West Virginia Pearl Harbor Hero Come hear the story of Sylvester Puccio, the ship fitter who, on his own initiative, realized the ‘WeeVee’ would turn turtle unless counter-flooded and broke locks to do so. He saved the ship and hundreds of lives. Mr. Puccio's story was long lost among those of heroism on that day, but he was recently awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. |

Battle of Midway 70th Anniversary Presentation by Alan Lloyd Alan S. Lloyd will present a historical account of the Battle of Midway. Alan is an expert on naval history and, at the age of 12, saw the Japanese planes attack Pearl Harbor. The informative and interesting presentation will detail the events leading up to and during the Battle of Midway. He will speak of the unsung heroes of the battle and illustrate the importance and successes of the U.S. military’s leadership. Mr. Lloyd’s extensive knowledge of the battle will create an exciting and educational experience for all who attend. |
