The Federal Business Council, Inc. is pleased to welcome you as an exhibitor for this Vendor Fair at MacDill AFB; this is the first time in over 4 years FBC will be organizing at this location!

Located in Tampa, MacDill AFB has a primary mission of operating the base in support of U.S. Central Command, U.S. Special Operations Command, and a large number of mission partners and 39 other tenant units.

•    U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) - U.S. Central Command promotes cooperation among nations, responds to crises, and deters or defeats state and nonstate aggression, and supports development and, when necessary, reconstruction in order to establish the conditions for regional security, stability, and prosperity.

•    U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) - Has approx. 57,000 active duty, Reserve & National Guard Soldiers, & DoD civilians assigned to it.  USSOCOM receives, reviews, coordinates and prioritizes all DoD plans that support the global campaign against terror and then makes recommendations to the Joint Staff regarding force and resource allocations to meet global requirements.

•    Joint Communications Support Element (JSCE) - Their core competency is their communications support for contingency operations as directed by the United States Transportation Command.  They are a tactical unit that has a rare ability to operate at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels.  As a part of their contingency mission, they provide enroute, initial entry, or early entry communications support for troops.

•    6th Air Mobility Wing - Performs aerial refueling, airlift, and contingency response missions for U.S. and allied forces around the world. The wing has sixteen KC-135 “Stratotankers,” three C-37A aircraft, and more than 2,700 personnel assigned.

•    U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM)  - HQ'd in Stuttgart, a detachment is also located here.  It is in concert with other U.S. government agencies & intl. partners, conducts sustained security engagement through operations as directed to promote a stable & secure African environment in support of U.S. foreign policy.

•    National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) - There is a fleet of aircraft used by the NOAA, including 2 of the  "Hurricane Hunter" research aircraft. NOAA has an engineering facility at the base for designing, building and servicing research equipment.
