28th DoD/VA & Government HIT Summit
DSI’s 28th DoD/VA & Government HIT Summit will bring together leaders from across the VA, DHA, DoD, federal government, and relevant industry stakeholders to explore the benefits and challenges of integrating and ensuring a secure, interoperable federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for Active-Duty personnel and Veterans. This event will also discuss the fielding of emerging technologies and advanced solutions that will help drive high-quality healthcare delivery and quality care across MTFs, VA hospitals, DoD facilities, rural areas, and expeditionary environments.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has requested a budget of $369.3 billion for fiscal year 2025 — a $32.9 billion increase from the previous year’s budget — to improve healthcare resources and the delivery of benefits to veterans. Part of this budget, 894 million, was designated for the Electronic Health Record to support the ongoing rollout of the EHR system, with additional funding allocated for other IT systems and AI research and development. Additionally, the overall DoD budget gave $61.4 billion in funding to the Military Health System (MHS). The 28th DoD/VA and Government Health IT Summit will bring together senior leaders from the DoD, VA, federal government agencies, academia, and industry to advance the field of health information technology and shape the future of healthcare delivery for Veterans and active duty servicemembers. Through interactive discussions, panels, networking time, technology exhibits, and fireside chats, attendees at this year’s event will explore new policies, tools, software, and systems aimed at enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of healthcare services.
In the pursuit of fielding solutions that will enable lifelong patient-centered care, the Spring 2025 DoD/VA HIT Summit will explore current and future initiatives to support a secure, interoperable health IT approach. Senior leaders at this event will discuss efforts to drive a seamless, unified experience for veterans, improve care and accessibility to Veterans. This event will also offer attendees insight into current efforts to develop a stronger, more consistent VA EHR rollout that further ensures patient safety, as well as how DHA is working to support digital-first health care delivery. Finally, a panel at this event will focus on improving accessibility for Veterans through innovative technology solutions.
Join us at this year’s DoD/VA & Government Health IT Summit to network, ask questions, and interact with senior leaders across the DoD and VA who are responsible for integrating innovative, effective, and affordable health care solutions for Veterans, military members, and their families.
DSI’s team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Summits’ content and focus areas, and we will assemble the most respected minds in health care information technology and innovation across federal government, military, academia, and industry. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all services and organizations to bring together a truly holistic group of decision makers and solution providers.
