AHCA manages the state’s Medicaid program, licenses and regulates health care providers, and promotes health care transparency through data collection and analysis. The agency operates with an annual budget exceeding $35 billion and has approximately 1,500 employees across multiple divisions, including Medicaid, Health Quality Assurance, and the Office of Inspector General. AHCA works closely with state and federal agencies to enhance the delivery of health care services.
