Human Systems Insights
Join us for the first in our series of HSInsights preconference webinars. This virtual event is hosted by NDIA Personalized Assessment Education and Training (PAE&T) Sub-Area Lead, Jenn McNamara, Vice President Serious Games and Strategic Partnerships, of BreakAway Games. She has invited commercial industry leader, Liberty Munson, PhD, Director of Psychometrics at Microsoft, to discuss how her organization leverages human systems in creation and employment of their certification exams addressing competency across their evolving technologies. Liberty will share her efforts to integrate human-centered design into assessment development, including the use of interactive item types and AI-enabled tools reviewed with human oversight, and personalization of learning experiences. She will also briefly touch on Microsoft’s mission to focus on accessible design and human interactions with Copilot and agents. Finally, Liberty will bring highlights from her work with the Association of Test Publishers’ (ATP) Human Oversight working group exploring ethical and responsible practices for AI-generated content in assessment.
Following the HSInsights webinar, plan to join us at the 2026 Human Systems Conference where the PAE&T track will examine the role of human systems in facilitating personnel readiness to perform in a rapidly changing threat environment. This will require personnel capable of assessing and acquiring skills to use new and evolving commercial and government technologies. Organizations will need to maintain awareness of competency across their workforce to anticipate skill needs and ultimately pair qualified personnel with new roles. Just as the Defense community is looking to the commercial industry to address evolving technological needs, we can gain insights from how the commercial industry leverages human systems to provide personalized assessment, education, and training.
