Zero Trust Academy: Strategy & Foundations
Zero Trust Academy: Strategy & Foundations is a one-day, non-technical introduction designed for audit, risk, governance, compliance, and leadership teams who need a clear, practical understanding of Zero Trust without diving into deep technical detail. This course explains what Zero Trust really means, how it aligns with the CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model (ZTMM), and why organizations across government and industry are adopting it as a core security strategy.
Participants learn how identity, devices, networks, applications, data, and visibility work together in a Zero Trust architecture, using real-world examples and plain language. The course breaks down common misconceptions, clarifies what decision-makers should expect from technical teams, and shows how Zero Trust maps directly to risk management, audit requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
By the end of the day, attendees will be able to interpret Zero Trust initiatives, participate effectively in planning discussions, identify gaps in governance or policy, and help guide their organization’s maturity roadmap. This course establishes the shared language and strategic context needed before pursuing deeper technical training, such as Zero Trust in AWS.
