Certificate in Coaching Fundamentals
Academy of Government and Military Coaching (AcademyGMC) Certificate in Coaching Fundamentals is an accredited program under the International Coaching Federation standards. Earn 72 Coach Education Hours
Available beginning Fall 2025 as a 3-months/12-weeks course online (12 three-hour group sessions, 12 pre-work/make-up assignments between lessons, two 20-to-25-minute one-on-one mentor coaching sessions and one final 30-to-40-minute performance recording.
What a Certificate in Coaching Fundamentals (CCF) can do for you:

Increase your leadership knowledge on models, tools, and strategies for coaching individual staff at all levels to overcome an individual’s challenges to move ahead in a military or public service position.

Expand your skills for initiating, conducting and following up on holding effective one-on-one-coaching sessions for peers, subordinates and other Government and or military stakeholders.

Provide a safe, constructive environment to learn and practice required behaviors on the road to becoming an accredited coach.

Provide oral and written evaluations on your coaching skill mastery which include individualized feedback on areas for future growth as a coach.
AcademyGMC lessons are conducted by ICF certified coaches. Those coaches providing mentor coaching for written coaching feedback are graduates of advanced ICF training on the ICF core competencies.

Sue is the owner of Stein Coaching and Consulting, LLC. Dr. Stein is a coach, instructional systems designer and speaker. She began coaching more than 20 years ago during her many years with the Federal Government, not-for-profit, commercial sector, and university work. Her coaching specialties include executive leadership, career strategy, wellness, successful life transitions, and pre-retirement preparation. She is a founder of the ICF Coaching Community of Practice. Her coaching was featured in the Public Manager Magazine for May 2017 and cited as a government coaching pioneer in the book, "Coaching in Government," released 2023.
