From Data Center to Edge: Sovereign Cloud for Mission Readiness

Cloud computing is well established across the government – so much so that there are multiple variations in use. Public, private, hybrid, and community clouds are all deployment models, while X-as-a-Service (Infrastructure, Platform, and Software) are service models.

Government missions today demand agility — from headquarters to the tactical edge. But agility cannot come at the expense of compliance and control. That’s why agencies are rethinking their IT strategy to incorporate a sovereign cloud: a cloud-native, FedRAMP High / IL5-aligned approach that ensures secure operations, predictable cost, and true mission readiness. The sovereign cloud approach is based on geopolitical rather than technological requirements: a cloud computing environment designed to ensure that both data and applications are stored, processed, and managed within a specific country or region as a way to provide organizations increased control over their digital assets.
