AUSA Noon Report: Patton's War: An American General's Combat Leadership Volume 3: January 1-December 21, 1945

AUSA’s Noon Report webinar series features presentations by senior Army leaders responsible for key programs and initiatives, as well as contemporary military authors who weave together the past, present and future story of the United States Army.

Please join us on Tuesday, 28 July, at 12:00 PM EDT for a discussion of Lieutenant General George S. Patton and his battlefield leadership in World War II. Author Kevin M. Hymel, celebrating the long-awaited final volume of his Patton’s War trilogy, will be discussing his recent work. This last installment begins with Patton preparing to close the German bulge into American lines in January 1946 and follows his advance into Germany that same spring. Drawing on Patton's rarely consulted original diaries, among other primary sources, Hymel reveals Patton not as a larger-than-life myth, but as a human and determined frontline general with a genius for getting the enemy to dance to his tune.
