Red Hat Executive Briefing at DoDIIS 2026

Red Hat and Carahsoft will host an Executive Briefing at DoDIIS 2026 on Tuesday, August 11th, where Red Hat Chief Architect and Security Strategist, Michael Epley, will outline a technical blueprint for establishing Automated Shields within military networks.

U.S. adversaries are using generative AI to rapidly identify vulnerabilities, evade detection and automate sophisticated attacks, rendering traditional perimeter defenses and manual patching ineffective, especially in contested or DIL environments. The Department of War and Intelligence Community are uniquely positioned to counter these machine-speed threats through advanced cyber capabilities.

At this executive briefing, Red Hat will discuss the critical elements of this blueprint:

• AI-secured sovereign supply chains with task-tuned models automating continuous Test, Evaluation, Validation, and Verification (TEVV)
• Enforced Zero Trust utilizing anchored and cryptographically secure agents and workload identities (SPIFFE/SPIRE)
• Securely backport hardened Open Source software supply chain patches directly into air-gapped enclaves
• Leveraging ground-truth system telemetry, executing closed-loop Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) via event-driven automation
• Coordinating secure cross-domain threat intelligence sharing
