55th Federally Employed Women National Training Program

This year’s conference theme is “Unleashing Your Full Potential:Learn, Recall, Apply, Reinforce.”

Learning is the goal of training, yet it is not a one-time occurrence but rather an ongoing procedure. Employees can only apply what they've learned if they receive training on the first step of a multi-step process and then can practice what they've learned before they're called on to utilize it in the workplace. The brain's natural cognitive processes will only wash away the knowledge learned with evidence that it is vital to maintain. Therefore, training reinforcement is necessary for the brain to store the information in long-term memory for future use.

Professional development that is both effective and sustainable prioritizes the teaching and learning of specific skills development material, is integrated with other workforce programs, and fosters collaborative connections among colleagues. FEW knows that not all career advancement is the same. Attendees of the NTP are our priority; thus, we're committed to creating and providing them with exceptional training opportunities for the 55th year!

The theme colors for the 55th Federally Employed Women (FEW) National Training Program (NTP) are Purple, Green, and White. These colors were chosen because:  Purple signifies justice, dignity, and loyalty to the cause of working toward the advancement of women in the government. Green symbolizes hope, and white represents purity. The colors originated from the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) and the Women’s Suffrage Movement.
