Exploring Cyber Test Ranges: Past, Present, and Future Perspectives
Cyberspace attacks against information technology systems, weapons systems, and critical infrastructure remain a significant threat to the reliability and security of those systems. Cyber test and evaluation (T&E) and acquisition organizations increasingly rely on measuring the cyber performance of those systems using “digital twins” and other virtual versions of those systems and the components in them on cyber ranges of various sizes.
This workshop will cover the past, present, and future of testing on cyber ranges, including presenting techniques and tools for testing on ranges and emerging technologies for testing to identify, measure and mitigate impact from threats to system missions, resilience, and survivability. The workshop will present and discuss tools and methodologies enabling the early testing in a system’s lifecycle in support of a campaign of learning.
