The DoD CIO will host the Inaugural Cyber Workforce Summit with support from AFCEA International. In order to succeed in today's environment, the Department of Defense must remain aggressive in its innovation and development of the Digital Workforce. This two-day conference will provide a forum where DoD CIO representatives will share the latest information about supporting the Department's cyber mission with the most capable and dominant workforce. The conference will also provide the opportunity for the Cyber community to hear directly from DoD and Service leadership and subject matter experts. The goal of this day-long, industry-focused Top Secret SI/TK-level discussion is to thoughtfully explore how the public and private sectors can best work together now to address the Navy's gaps and barriers to programmatic and operational success.

Recent developments in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, biotech and other areas have broad and deep implications for government, industry and people's personal lives.Nation-states, corporate interests and other groups view these emerging technologies as competitive advantages or means to be used in information warfare, cyber attacks or for other nefarious purposes. While there are myriad sources of information related to the development of technology, few authoritative sources of ground truth exist and decision-makers are often left wondering what is hype and what is actually possible in the near- and mid-term time horizons.
