The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Ed (CISSE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing cybersecurity education at all levels. CISSE was founded in 1996 to provide a forum for educators, researchers, and practitioners to share knowledge and best practices in information security education. CISSE hosts an annual conference that brings together cybersecurity educators from around the world to discuss current trends, challenges, and innovations in information security education.

The 30th Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE) marks a milestone year for the longest-running cybersecurity education conference in the United States, dedicated to advancing cybersecurity education across higher education, faculty development, curriculum design, and academic research.

Now in its 30th year, CISSE brings together faculty, researchers, academic leaders, and government and industry partners to strengthen cybersecurity education, curriculum innovation, and workforce pathways.

The 2026 theme, “Investigate, Imagine, Integrate, Impact,” reflects the evolving role of cybersecurity education in addressing emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and national workforce needs.

Attendees will engage in presentations, panels, and collaborative discussions focused on:

  • Cybersecurity curriculum and pedagogy
  • Artificial intelligence in cybersecurity education
  • Workforce development and pathways
  • Community college and CAE program engagement
  • Research in information systems security education
