Modern Day Marine
Modern Day Marine is co-sponsored by Marine Corps Base, Quantico, the Exposition’s home base. MCB Quantico, home to the Combat Development Command and the Marine Corps Systems Command, is responsible for setting requirements, developing equipment and systems and purchasing the equipment and systems that the Marine Corps will rely on in the years to come. These vital and unique functions play a large part in positioning Modern Day Marine as the premier military equipment, systems, services and technology exposition.
Modern Day Marine will host a series of panel discussions, organized by MCCDC/CD&I, entitled “Is the Marine Corps Prepared for the Next Generation of Warfare?”.
Change is Coming. Modern warfare is increasingly characterized by proliferation of digitization, miniaturization and the ability of numerous competitors to proliferate weapons and information rapidly; thus smaller organizations can achieve effects historically only possible for much more developed nations. Threats are omni-directional and domain superiority cannot be assumed.
All Panels and Sessions will take place at the Industry Briefing Center at Modern Day Marine Expo (adjacent to Food Area).
