2018 Government Learning Technology Symposium (GLTS)

The Government Learning Technology Symposium (GLTS) is a free two-day conference for government personnel. Uniquely focused on the needs of Federal Government distance learning professionals, GLTS provides a venue for professionals to make connections, discuss the latest developments, and identify new regulations and trends that affect our industry. If you are involved in learning, talent development, mission execution, HR services, project management, team training and leadership, you should attend GLTS.

This symposium is geared toward all Government and Military professionals involved in distance learning, such as:

* training systems designers and developers

The GLTS is co-located with Government Video Expo (GV Expo), held at the Washington D.C. Convention Center, Nov. 28-29, 2018. The GV EXPO is the East Coast’s largest technology event designed for video, broadcast, and AV professionals. The GLTS is produced by the FGDLA and includes two days of consecutive sessions featuring presentations on instructional design, video and animation design for distance learning, LMS integration, 508 Accessibility Compliance, Learning Record Stores, and much more.

FGDLA has announced that the call for papers is now open for the Federal Government Distance Learning Association’s (FDGLA) Government Learning Technology Symposium. GLTS is slated for November 28-29, 2018 at the Washington Convention Center. “We are happy to host the GLTS as a free conference program for government personnel engaged in distance learning, e-learning, and any technology enabled learning initiative. We invite federal employees and contractors to share their best practices by submitting a call for paper.

GLTS 18’s theme is Learning Technologies in the Federal Government. Previous event speakers included leaders from Department of Justice, Department of Treasury, FBI, NASA, NATO, ADL, National Parks and Recreation and many others. GLTS18 will feature 2-days of conference sessions and share an exhibit hall with Government Video Expo. GLTS18 is hosted at the Washington D.C. Convention Center. We welcome presenters on topics related to distance learning, e-learning, instructional design, learning trends, emerging technologies, best practices in learning, Mobile, Video and Virtual Learning.
