BTAS 2018

The 9th IEEE International Conference on Biometrics: Theory, Applications, and Systems (BTAS 2018) will be held in Los Angeles, California, October 22 to 25, 2018. BTAS is the flagship conference of the IEEE Biometrics Council.

BTAS 2018 will provide a forum for computer scientists and engineers from around the world to present their latest research findings and share new ideas and applications in biometrics technology. 

The conference’s broad scope will include biometrics research based on voice, fingerprint, iris, face, handwriting, gait and other modalities, in addition to multi-modal biometrics and new biometrics based on novel sensing technologies.

BTAS 2018 attendees will have the opportunity to network with colleagues and discover innovative developments in the biometrics field, including:

• Advances in fundamental pattern recognition techniques
• New algorithms and technologies for biometrics
• Analysis of specific applications
• Analysis of the social impact of biometrics technology

BTAS 2018 will include keynote addresses and invited presentations by renowned researchers. The conference solicits submissions for original, state-of-the-art oral presentations, poster presentations and technical papers.

The conference venue, the Torrance Marriott in Redondo Beach, is superbly situated in the South Bay region of the greater Los Angeles area, California, a short drive from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
