IDGA's 18th Annual Veterans Affairs Healthcare Summit

The VA finds itself at a time of rapid change, and is rising to meet the challenges of the pandemic, shifting demographics, and the winding down of the Global War on Terror. As veterans needs change, the VA has shifted the way that it provides care and has become a leader in delivering digital and mobile technologies like telehealth and virtual care. The integration of a brand-new electronic health records system is changing the way that clinicians provide care at VA medical centers across the nation. New drugs, medical devices and precision medicine are opening new opportunities in areas like oncology, mental health and prosthetics. Innovative technologies like AI/ML are optimizing processes like supply chain management, logistics and patient experience. Acts of Congress have opened up new options for private care to veterans.

Taken together, the VA must continue to tackle these challenges in order to provide the best care for our nation’s veterans. Congress has taken notice. In the latest budget request, legislators have requested $325.1 billion in total for veteran care.

IDGA's Veterans Affairs Healthcare Summit is now in its 18th iteration and is an industry-wide staple for those supporting the VA’s mission set. Our partners across the military, government, private and non-profit healthcare sector, academia and consultant communities have consistently made this event a marquee gathering for senior stakeholders, technology experts, industry innovators, clinicians, nurses and administrators. With our Summit regularly hosting over 400+ attendees, this engagement opportunity will provide those leaders across the VA Healthcare ecosystem the chance to learn, share, and connect with our nation’s veterans to improve health outcomes, care access, and delivery.
