5G: Next Generation Security for the Edge
This event qualifies for .15 CEUs
This event qualifies for 1.5 CPEs
This event qualifies for 1.5 CLPs
Emerging technologies, from artificial intelligence to machine learning to 5G, are encouraging the exponential growth of connected devices and systems – causing an explosion in data generation and powering the spread of edge computing.
In this landscape, 5G is part of the cause of such rapid growth, but it also is part of the solution – it is faster than 4G (and earlier) networks, it has far greater traffic capacity, and it provides increased security and privacy over previous communication standards, something particularly important for users working remotely.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify where the use of a 5G network can provide agencies with their best return on investment, such as applications that require scalability to support future growth
- Evaluate 5G security features and how they can supplement or replace existing security measures
- Outline best practices for implementing 5G solutions, including ways to minimize disruptions and maximize performance
