Council on State Taxation (COST)

This Conference will feature presentations on the most recent income and sales tax developments, initiatives, and case law updates, and include breakout sessions that will provide in-depth discussions of specific topics for maximum coverage of the hottest income and sales tax issues. Several state income and sales tax audit sessions (for industry members-only) will also be featured, offering a state-by-state exchange of information on legislative, audit, judicial, and regulatory issues affecting COST-member companies.

The goal of this program is to bring multistate tax professionals, with various levels of experience in state and local income/franchise taxes and sales/use taxes, together in an environment that allows for extensive interaction and exchange of information. Additionally, the conference will provide updates on key SALT issues and insights regarding state tax trends and opportunities. The program is targeted to all levels of experience, and no advance preparation is needed. 

This Conference/Session is open to COST Industry Members, non-COST Industry members and Practitioners.

This three and a half day Annual Meeting offers sessions for every state tax and government affairs professional with tax responsibilities.  The Meeting has an extensive program covering all types of state and local taxes that business taxpayers are confronted with on a daily basis.  The ever-popular audit sessions and state chamber of commerce roundtables are included, and other conference sessions provide updates on timely SALT issues and insight regarding state tax trends and opportunities.  Targeted to all SALT types and levels of experience.
